Each week, your child will create and experiment in our relaxed and inspiring environment. Classes span the full breadth of textile arts, integrating weaving, sewing, spinning and needle felting. We encourage trial and error as students embark on their own projects, helping them discover what they truly like, while building patience, resilience, and self-awareness. Students can choose multiple projects to work on throughout the semester, from creating their own woven accessories, sewing their own garments, to spinning their own yarn.

Beyond developing technical skills, children discover the quiet satisfaction of making something with their own hands, start to finish. We keep our classes intentionally small to protect this experience. Zen Weaving will be an enriching addition to your young artist's education to discover the shape of their creative individuality.

2-Semester System
Fall Semester:
September 10, 2026 – January 29, 2027

Spring Semester:
February 2, 2027 – June 25, 2027

Tuition: $960 per semester (16 classes)
Early Bird Discount: Enroll by August 30, and receive $50 off the total tuition for each semester.

Each semester period includes 16 classes (1.5 hours each). Choose a recurring weekday for your child's attendance, Tuesday-Friday at our UES location, or Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday at our Dumbo location. Sessions can be scheduled to start between 3:30 - 4:30 pm.

Ages: For children ages 8–14 years old

Class Size:
UES Studio: Maximum of 6 students per class
Dumbo Studio: Maximum of 8 students per class

Duration: 1.5 hours per session, once a week (16 classes per semester). 2-hour sessions may be available for an additional 25% tuition cost.

MAKE-UP CLASSES
Missed classes may be rescheduled only within the semester period.

ADDITIONAL CLASSES
Additional classes available for $60 per class during the same semester.

MID SEMESTER REGISTRATION
New students may join mid-semester if space is available, with pro-rated tuition.

DISCOUNTS
Sibling Discount: 5% off each additional child.

ENROLLMENT

1. Read our Studio Policies page before signing your child up for class.
2. Complete the form below.
3. If your preferred day is full, we may ask you to choose another day.
4. Once your class is confirmed, we will email you a confirmation and an invoice.
5. Your enrollment is complete– and you are considered to have agreed to our policies– once full payment has been received.

REFUND POLICY

• Tuition is non-refundable after the first class begins
• Cancellations before August 30: full refund minus $50 processing fee
• Discounted tuition is non-refundable
• Exceptions for serious illness, family emergency, or relocation (case-by-case; prorated refund or credit may be offered)
• This class package is not transferrable to other classes.
