Studio Policies
TUITION & FEES
Class fees are due in full upon registration. No refund will be given after the first class of the package.
CONDUCT
Adults may not accompany children's classes, but may stay in the waiting area. In the case of disruptive behavior by a child, Loop of the Loom will call a guardian and consult for withdrawal from their classes.
CELL PHONES
Keep phones on silent during class. Use only for emergencies, and take all conversations outside the weaving area.
LOST & FOUND
Loop of the Loom is not responsible for any projects or personal items lost.
Forgotten items will be held for 1 week. Due to limited space in our studios, if we receive no response after contacting you, your items may be discarded.
FOOD & DRINK
Snacks and drinks are only allowed in the waiting area, away from the weaving areas. Please be sure to clean your hands before returning to class. We recommend that you bring your own bottled water, as we do not have a water station.
PETS & BABIES
Only service animals are allowed in the studio. Please hold your babies in the studio. Loop of the Loom is not responsible for any accidents involving our equipment. Please supervise young children who are not currently in class.
Cancellation Policies
If you cannot attend your class or workshop, we ask you to first consider rescheduling or finding a replacement participant for your session. If this is not possible, please read carefully below for our cancellation policies.

Advanced Class & Project-Based Class Packages
SHARING PACKAGES
- Packages are individual and cannot be shared between multiple people, with the exception that the Advanced Class Package may be shared by siblings.
WARP (only for Advanced Class)
- Learn how to set up warps, or skip the learning process and use the studio's preset warps instead.
- Preset warps are only available in black cotton 12" width. Preset white warps are not available in the advanced class.
PROHIBITION OF BRINGING OUTSIDE MATERIALS
- Outside yarn or materials to weave are not permitted in advanced classes.
- Only yarn purchased from Loop of the Loom may be used, with usage calculated before and after weaving.
- Sewing supplies are allowed for finishing the projects. (e.g., buttons, handles, zippers, lining fabric) Loop of the Loom can also provide materials at a cost (interfacing, stuffing poly, and more).
- To use outside materials, enroll in a BYO Yarn Class instead of an advanced class. The $250 package includes 4 classes and requires using your own yarn for both warp and weft. A preset studio warp (black or white) is available for an additional $70. If using studio yarn for your own warp, it will be charged by weight at $5/oz before threading.
CONDITIONS FOR STORAGE OF PROJECTS
- Working projects and notes are allowed to be stored in the designated box.
- Up to 3 bobbins can be held with the ongoing project.
- The storage space in the box is limited, so please take home any extra materials.
- Damage or loss of the weaving piece is not guaranteed.
- Upon expiration of the class, ownership of the stored items will be transferred to Loop of the Loom.
- Setting up the project will be done by the students, with exceptions possible.
LAST-MINUTE RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATIONS
- Rescheduling/cancellations are allowed while the package code is active. Note that a fee will be added for last-minute changes by following the cancellation policies.
- No-shows are counted as attended classes.
- Same-day cancellations are also counted as attended classes. Exceptional free cancellations are applied in cases of state of emergency declarations.
- Within 48 hours of the class time, a $20 rescheduling fee applies for each appointment. The class is counted as attended if a rescheduled date cannot be determined.
- It is allowed once if the rescheduled date exceeds the expiration date of the package. No additional rescheduling is permitted.
BOOKING/RESCHEDULING FOR EXPIRED CLASS PACKAGE
- Recommend scheduling all classes upon purchasing the package.
- Students who come regularly may receive two reminders before or after the class expires. If there is no response to the second notice, the class package will be terminated automatically.
- Students who have not attended classes without any contact for an extended period will be considered to have withdrawn from the class, and they may not receive an email notification from us.
- Expired classes cannot be extended, except in cases of rescheduling from the original date.
