Natural Dyed Medium-weight Eco Bag
Natural Dyed Medium-weight Eco Bag
We collaborate with small family owned dye makers in Japan to revive the traditional methods of dyeing, promoting a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
Our 100% recycled cotton eco-bags are dyed with Japanese sustainable dyes. Bengala mineral dyed or kakishibu dyed lightweight tote bags are good alternatives to plastic bags. Always carry one with you or in your bag. We added the Japanese name of the dye beautifully inscribed in the stitch along the edge of the bag.
These lost dyeing methods have been revived and people learn the benefits from nature through the products. We use three methods of dyeing to create our organic bags:
Bengala Mud Dyed Bag ベンガラ:
The ultimate color is from the Earth. This mineral dye has natural UV protection and creates beautiful pink, purple and brown tones.
Kakishibu Dyed Bag 柿渋:
Kakishibu dye is the fermented Japanese persimmon dye. It's antiseptic, insect repellent, mildew-proof and water resistant. The color deepens and develops a beautiful patina over years.
Kakishibu and Iron Dyed Bag 柿渋+Fe:
Using the natural reaction of tannin and iron, we create from the warm brown tones of the Kakishibu Dye earthy shades of gray.
