Kids Classes
The SAORI weaving method encourages freedom of expression through true improvisation to everyone! The end result of the class is always a big surprise as no two weavings are alike. Our class provides a process-oriented program that empowers every child to create and self-express with confidence without the fear of making mistakes.
Mini-Zen Kids Class
Ages 6-14
$65 / 2 hours (includes materials)
Drop-off your children for zen weaving! Release them from school business and let their minds be free to explore their own creative world. The meditative setting of our zen weaving dojo allows for calmed focus, unlike other enrichment activities. Make a one-of-a-kind sensory creation with unlimited colors and soft materials. We will provide a loom to each one with a 12-inch wide black cotton warp thread and initially guide them with basic techniques, and within a minute, children will be able to start weaving by themselves. When your young children are proudly done with their masterpieces, you'll be amazed beyond your expectations!
NOTE
To Parents of Young Children:
Please note that there is an age restriction of 6 years old. During the session, we kindly ask guardians to leave the studio. Otherwise, you may quietly stay in the waiting area until the children become comfortable within the space.
To Parents of Older Children:
Before the class, please instruct your children to avoid disturbing other weavers if participating with friends or siblings. Additionally, if children will be returning home by themselves, please notify us in advance or have them contact you upon leaving.

Delve deeper into the world of fiber arts! Each week your child can create and experiment in a relaxed and inspiring environment. Unlike other arts programs, SAORI method focuses on developing a child's individual creativity and confidence rather than following step-by-step instructions together in the class. With customized guidance, kids will pursue their own personal projects. They can be an enriching addition to your young artist's education.
Encourage the development of student's skills through creative weaving, spinning, and felting from natural fiber, dyeing, sewing, and needle works.
