Loop of the Loom is home to New York City's first-ever certified SAORI studio, gallery and authorized SAORI loom distributor. As one of the few SAORI Leader's Committee members in the United States, Loop of the Loom has the pleasure of introducing this unique and easy-to-learn form of, what we like to call, "happy weaving" to the Tri-State Area.
Our studio in Manhattan's Upper East Side offers classes and workshops, on-site and off-site, to individuals and groups interested in self-discovery, healing and having fun through weaving.
With SAORI's growing popularity, Loop of the Loom has been invited to collaborate with local schools, hospitals, community events and museums.
Students at Loop of the Loom have created distinct and original tapestries, clothing, scarves, bags and many useful items that can be appreciated by all. Other classes at Loop of the Loom include sewing, spinning and contemporary crafts such as nuno felting! The Loop of the Loom gallery showcases new works created by those in the SAORI community.
The Story of Loop of the Loom
Once, I met someone through weaving.
Then, I met another through her.

All could share the happiness and excitement I felt when I first wove.
The way you weave is the way you are.
Find yourself, surprise yourself,
and you'll see how beautiful you are.
Everyone is an artist who can move someone else.
